Team Practice, Take 2!!

Team Practice, Take 2!!

The 2015 Team attended the second team practice at Star Hill Family Athletic Center in Tolland, Connecticut over the weekend. (P.S. This is where Team Tryouts are set to be held in 2017! Mark that down, folks. The site is wonderful.) It was a weekend of smart, animated training on various drills and coursework from the World Championship judges. Plus bubble-soccer spectating, lip-syncing, dancing, and lots and lots of cheering.

We had an incredible support system over the weekend, from volunteers helping with course changes, bars, equipment in general, lunch, video, laughs and awesome conversation, and approximately 1000 other details (including Team USA decoration, which was on point), to our equipment sponsor, Max 200. This practice wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Max 200 Performance Dog Equipment donating a ring of equipment for the Team to practice on, as well as the Nutmeg Border Collie Club’s generous donation to the team.

Each dog on the team was also gifted with incredible Team USA tags from Mad Dog Metalworks, and Team USA harnesses and a patriotic Treat ‘n Throw from Brilliant K9. Thank you for spoiling our athletes!!

We cannot thank the agility community enough for supporting the 2015 Agility World Championship Team. If you haven’t yet, please, please, please visit our Team Store and get yourself (and your friends, and your family, and your great aunt, twice removed) a 2015 Supporter Shirt. 100% of the proceeds from the supporter shirts go toward helping with team expenses. Italy is no cheap date, and we want to make sure we’re sending our team over as well-prepared, strong, and confident as possible!

It is safe to say the Team, coaches and competitors alike, left practice feeling inspired for the big show that’s fast-approaching, and stronger, tighter, sharper from the weekend.

Next stop, Italy. Here we go, here we go…
